Tommy McCoy Website Privacy Policy

I, Tommy McCoy, owner of the http://tommymccoyblues.com web site, am committed to protecting your privacy. I use the information I collect about you to process booking form and e-mail subscriptions and to provide a more personalized site experience. Please read on for more details about my privacy policy.

What information do I collect? How do I use it?

When you submit a Booking Form, I need to know your name, title, company name, e-mail address, telephone and mailing address. This allows me to process and fulfill your request. When you sign up for my e-mail newsletter, I need only an e-mail address--which I use to send the information you requested. I monitor visitor traffic patterns and site usage to help me develop the design and layout of my site. I may also use the information I collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, new services, and special offers I think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, you can send an e-mail to tommymccoyblues@gmail.com notifying me of such, or can use the "unsubscribe" function included with each e-mail I send from the site.

How do I protect your information?

When you submit a Booking Form, or subscribe to my e-mail newsletter, the data you send to me is initially stored in my server behind a firewall and protected with standard password/logon procedures. I then remove the information from the server and store it on a local drive so that none of it resides on a public server, except for your e-mail address, which I store in a password protected flat file on the public server used for the subscribe and unsubscribe functions of the e-mail subscription scripts.

What about "cookies"?

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. My cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they do enable me to provide some personalization features. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. Even without a cookie, you can still use most of the features in my site.

Will I disclose the information I collect to outside parties?

I do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. I may choose to do so in the future with trustworthy third parties, but you can tell me not to by sending an e-mail message to remove your name at tommymccoyblues@gmail.com. (If you use more than one e-mail address send this message from each e-mail account you use.) Also, I may provide aggregate statistics about my e-mail subscribers, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. I may release information when I believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, or (ii) protect the rights, property or safety of my content, or others.

How do I allow visitors to update or change the information I collect?

You may update or change information related to your e-mail subscription by accessing the e-mail subscription section of the Web site with your name and e-mail account. For other questions related to updating or changing your account information, please send e-mail to me at tommymccoyblues@gmail.com
